They were pious Muslims, affectionate and dedicated parents, and they embodied Fuuta-Jalon's education, spiritual values and ethical standards. From their resting place, they guide my thoughts, actions and aspirations. May Allah bless them and grant them eternal bliss.
This site honors also the memory of the Nine Founding Fathers of the Fuuta-Jalon theocracy, my maternal grandfather, Tierno Aliyyu Ɓuuɓa-Ndiyan, and all who contributed to this significant chapter of African history.
